My Unforgettable Experience

So, my unforgetable experience actually happened on September the 10th, which is the day that Megantara take place.

Why? Because there's so much things that is new and interesting for me. Well of course, the parade long walk wasn't really interesting nor new, but it's part of the event so probably that's the only thing that is not so unforgetable.

What's new and interesting? It is the first culture festival (I'd like to call it a concert for the last part of the show) that I actually enjoyed because when my junior high held one, it wasn't as interesting. For Megantara, I'm still at the fest until the end of it. I also got to met my friends from my CS:GO team for the first time and got to know them quite well. Besides them, I also met my friends from Hardcore Gamer Group at Hokben BEC (so I didn't actually watch the whole show, but I only skip the minor performances because of the many meetups happened that day) but I had to leave early so the gates of Megantara won't shut on me.

Before the Hardcore Gamer Group meetup, I bought myself some Razer gears (so that's new as well) since the meetup happened in the same building that i bought the Razers.
What's a Razer? It's just a gaming gear product that sells everything overpriced but it has good quality.

After I got back to Megantara, I rejoin my CS:GO mates and we were in for a long time of waiting. Then there's the fashion show with the results as early as the judge decided, there's a wayang show and other performances which I quite enjoy but that really wasn't what the audience were there for. What the audience anticipated were either Mr. Ridwan Kamil, The Changcuters, or RAN which they (including me) had to wait for quite some time to see the three guest stars.

And finally, Mr. Ridwan Kamil came onto the stage as the fashion show winner announcer with his well-known style of speaking. When The Changcuters were on the stage and brought some songs, the crowd really went wild even though it's already night but maybe it's because their wait had been paid off. With RAN, it wasn't really as wild as The Changcuters because the different genre of music, but you know people like to sing to artist they like. And those atmospheres were totally new for me which is why it's unforgetable.

After everyone went home from Megantara, my friends and I played some more CS:GO just like we usually do on weekends.

Megantara

Megantaramost of the people in Bandung have heard of it. It is the culture festival that SMAN 3 Bandung proudly presents in 2016. In previous years, we have Matswapati in 2014 and Gamarvani in 2015 which all took place in Lapangan Bali, so did Megantara.

About the main performer, in Matswapati we have Glenn Fredly as an MC, in Gamarvani we have HiVi and Adera, and for this year we have The Changcuters and RAN (big events need big guest star right?). My junior highschool also performs there as the opening performer which is Rampak Kendang Darul Hikam, I was also part of it but since I the 9th grader I am not a member anymore but still getting in touch with the others.

There is also a fashion show with the theme of Nusantara, so each class sent 3 people to participate (otherwise a penalty will be given) and each of them will have a province to represent but I don't really know how which person got which province because I'm not one of the committee.

There are plenty of foodstands and foodtrucks there so you don't die in hunger or exhaust because you are not allowed to bring any food or drink to the festival. The foodstands took a theme of Indonesia's Nusantara, so basically the foodstands offers culinary from all over Indonesia (sadly I didn't get a taste because I was running out of money).

And you can enjoy all of that with only a Rp35.000 one-time entrance. But by the time you read this, the fest is already done (Why are you so late at informing I wanna see RAN on stage omg). I actually about to make a vlog and upload it, but my phone ran out of battery so I can't even take a picture.

So that's it from me guys, thanks for reading and I hope you enjoy. Until next time! :D

MARK ZUCKERBERG : THE SOCIAL MEDIA HERO

MARK ZUCKERBERG’S EARLY LIFE

https://astrumpeople.com/wp-content/uploads/2013/02/Mark-Zuckerberg-Biography.jpg
Mark Zuckerberg was born on May 14, 1984, in White Plains, New York. Mark was the second of 4 children and the only son. He hand her sister was raised at Dobbs Ferry, New York. Mark’s father, Edward Zuckerberg, is a dentist and mother, Karen Zuckerberg, is a psychiatrist.
The first time he was interested in programming is when he was at elementary school. The fact that the world is divided between programmers and users, Mark found out when he was 10 years old and got his first PC Quantex 486DX on the Intel 486.
The first programming language he learned was Atari BASIC Programming by his father, and when Mark was about 12, he used Atari BASIC to create a messenger, which he called “ZuckNet.” It made all the computers connected to each other and allowed to transfer messages between the house and dental office. His father installed the messenger on his computer in his dentist office, and the receptionist could inform him when a new patient arrived. Mark also enjoyed developing games and communication tools and as he said he was doing it just for fun. His father, Edward Zuckerberg, even hired a computer tutor David Newman, who gave his son some private lessons.

TEENAGE DAYS OF MARK ZUCKERBERG

https://i1.wp.com/myhero.com/images/guest/g262974/hero88437/synapse_media_player.jpg
Synapse Media Player
In his high school day, he wrote an artificially intelligent media player Synapse for MP3-playlists that carefully studied the preferences of a user and was able to generate playlists ‘guessing,’ which tracks a user wanted to listen to. Microsoft and AOL got an unusual interest in Synapse media player and wanted to acquire it. However, the young talent rejected the offer of the IT-giants and then politely  rejected their invitation  to  cooperate. Just  like that, Mark Zuckerberg refused from dozens, maybe even hundreds of thousands of dollars, and work at one of the top IT-corporations.
Soon Mark Zuckerberg studied at the Academy of Phillips Exeter, an exclusive preparatory school in New Hampshire. He showed good results there in science and literature, receiving a degree in classics. He also showed a great talent in fencing and even became the school captain of the fencing team. Yet Mark Zuckerberg stayed fascinated by coding and wanted to work on the development of new software.
In 2002, after graduating Phillips Exeter, Zuckerberg entered Harvard University. By his second year in the Ivy League, he had gained a reputation as a software developer on campus.

THE RISE OF FACEBOOK

In mid 2003 he met with Divya Narendra along with his twins partners Tyler and Cameron Winklevoss. They started a discussion on making a social network exclusively for Harvard student. In the discussion with Mark, Narendra said that the project would be called Harvard Connection (later renamed to ConnectU), and its members would post on the Internet their photos, personal information, and useful links. The tasks of Mark Zuckerberg included programming the site, which would allow the system to work as quickly as possible.
After a private meeting with Narendra and the Winklevoss twins, Zuckerberg agreed to join in the work, but the potential of his new partners he estimated skeptically. While working on Harvard Connection, he got a fantastic idea for his own social network.
On February 04, 2004, Mark Zuckerberg registered the domain name TheFacebook.com, now known throughout the world as Facebook.com. However, it functioned only within Harvard.
After Zuckerberg and his partner Eduardo Saverin realized that there were already 4,000 users registered on Facebook, they came to the conclusion that they needed services of new programmers. One of them was a Mark’s neighbor, Darren Moskowitz, who further opened the Facebook service to students at Columbia University, Stanford, and Yale.
Some time later, the registration was opened to all students. The main condition was the availability of an email address in the .edu zone, which also indicated a person’s belonging to the education sector.
It must be said that at first this tactic worked out nicely. The project attracted audience attention of sufficient quality. When a user was trying to sign up, he had to fill out a detailed profile, and in addition to the email address in the .edu zone, it was requested to add a real profile picture. If people used avatars instead of real pictures their profiles were deleted.
Soon, Facebook went beyond the education sector, becoming more and more popular. Mark Zuckerberg started looking for investors. The first investments Mark received from one of the founders of PayPal, Peter Thiel, who is well known throughout Silicon Valley. Peter Thiel allocated $500,000, and that amount was sufficient for immediate Facebook purposes. The project began to evolve rapidly. In less than a year after it was founded more than 1 million people joined the social network. For further development of Facebook, the Accel Partners invested in Facebook $12.7 million and then Greylock Partners added to this amount $27.5 million.
By 2005, Facebook became accessible for all educational institutions and universities in the USA. Zuckerberg still believed that his project is a social network for students, but the interest of users to Facebook grew exponentially. Then it was decided to make a registration accessible to the public. And after this, a Facebook ‘epidemic’ started.
The main thing that immediately attracted users in Facebook is that friends who meet in real life now could communicate with each other online. It was something new.

The Facebook audience grew rapidly, but the monetization of the project still remained unclear. Everyone expected that the main instrument should be context advertising. The fact is that every Facebook user fills sufficiently detailed profile, which can be used to show relevant advertisements. Obviously, that would open up enough options to advertisers, who may be of interest to their audience. But Facebook continued to grow its audience. When they got over 50 million users, large companies began to offer Zuckerberg to sell them the project. So, one time even Yahoo! offered $900 million dollars for Facebook. Impressive sum, but it absolutely did not satisfy Mark. Now facebook worth is about $370 Billion.

Darkness Unfolds (ParodyPasta)

I’ve decided to put this down to writing, since I’m not sure anyone else has experienced this. If anyone has, please get in touch ASAP, since this is getting worrying.
A few weeks ago, I’d started experiencing fuzzy vision. I’d be doing whatever, eating, writing, be on my bike, and my vision would get all blurry and sometimes I even fell down… I decided not to tell anyone. It was no use worrying them, I was probably just tired.
These started getting more and more regular. Now strange shapes had started to dance around like shadows cast by a fire, contorting into snarling, disturbing faces. They formed into shapes, a hanged man, a woman with no eyes, a dog with its belly ripped open, a small child with it’s wrists cut, lying on the ground… I closed my eyes when it got too disturbing, but I could somehow still see the visions in my head.
I decided to get it to stop. I contacted a so-called paranormal expert on the Internet and waited for a reply. He said to meet him the next day.
That night, I had the worst bout of all of them so far. I started sweating uncontrollably and felt as if darks clouds were closing in on me, the blue gap between them slowly fading and giving way to darkness. Then I had a series of violent spasms, and saw a black figure on the ceiling. He was not deformed and rapidly changing shapes like the others, he clearly had the figure of a hunched back man. As he slowly came into focus I could start seeing his features, and in colour too. He was an old man with gouged eyes, and two holes in his hand. The wounds looked fresh, and a drop of blood even trickled down and hit my bedsheets.
The man beckoned to me. “Come forth, and see the truth.” I got out of my bed and he grasped my hand and we flew out the window. He showed me the UK, then we flew higher and he showed me the world. At this point I could no longer breath and choked to death.
The last words I ever heard haunt me to this day. Dark, disturbing words. Full of an unknown evil power.
“Oh bugger, you guys don’t breathe in space do you”

January 28, 1986

Whaddup guys I'm back! :D

And today I'll be talking about an event (It's pretty much a tragedy) in the past.
When did it happen? I think all of you reading di post can read the title, but yes it happened in January 28th, 1986. Now, if you have read my previous post about my intro, what's really special (for me) about this date is that it is my birthdate ^-^ (15 years before I was born to be exact) but let's talk about the subject.

What really happened in January 28, 1986 is the Space Shuttle Challenger Disaster. Why did I pick this subject out of anything else? Well, (once again) it's my birthdate so it have something I can relate (I'm definetly lying there), but also because it is included in Astronomy as my favourite subject.

So in the 28th of January 1986, The Space Shuttle Challenger Disaster occured when the NASA Space Shuttle orbiter Challenger (OV-099) (mission STS-51-L) broke apart 73 seconds into its flight with its seven crew member on board. Who are those people? There's five NASA astronouts and two Payload Specialists. They are Francis R. Scoobe, Michael J. Smith, Ronald McNair, Ellison Onizuka, Judith Resnik, Gregory Jarvis, and Christa McAuliffe (you probably never heard of them, but well... I gotta tell you the facts.)

The spacecraft disintegrated over the Atlantic Ocean, off the coast of Cape Canaveral, Florida, at 11:39 EST (16:39 UTC). Soon after the disaster, President Ronald Reegan gave a speech with a duration of 4 minutes long which became a song prequel by creating a montage of the speech, with the title of "January 28, 1986" by Owl City in their album All Things Bright and Beautiful. The song that the speech prequeled is "Galaxies" also by Owl City in the same album.

After the disaster, they investigated the issue and found out that the disintegration of the vehicle began after an O-ring seal in its right solid rocket booster (SRB) failed at liftoff. The O-ring was not designed to fly under unusually cold conditions as in this launch. The formation of the Rogers Commission, a special commission appointed by Unites States President Ronald Reagan to investigate the accident. The disaster resulted in a 32-month hiatus in the shuttle program. It also caused the Air Force decided to cancel its plans to use the Shuttle for classified military satellite launches from Vandenberg Air Force Base in California, deciding to use the Titan IV instead.

The witnesses (watching the liftoff and incident live) are approximately 17% of Americans. Why? because of the presence of Payload Specialist Christa McAuliffe, who would have been the first teacher in space. The news of the incident spreaded quickly, one study reported that 85% of Americans surveyed had heard the news within an hour of the accident.

Is there a good effect after the incident? Yes. Now NASA has become more accurate and precise on their work to prevent this from happening in future rocket projects (or in fact any other things they're working on)

That's it from me for now, hope you enjoy reading, that is pretty much what I know about the incident of January 28, 1986 (if you're still curious/wonder more about it, Google hasn't been shut, so...)

Introduction.

Here's a little 'bout myself.

My name is Rifky Fariz Fauzan (remember it.) but you can also call me "Riz." which is taken from the last syllable of my mid-name.
How old am I? I was born at the 28th of January 2001, so I'm... (no idea, I actually can't count).
Where do I take education? (Yea, how come you can't count mate.) This year I got accepted in SMAN 3 Bandung (but yea, I can't count). About the school, I can't really give you that much info 'cause I'm new as well.

As soon as the optional extracuricular are joinable, I'll immedieately join MP3, DKM, and SEF (last one depends on my mood though). So MP3 is all about movie production (Yes of course it's what MP3 stands for, Movie Production 3), and DKM for me and a lot of people in fact, said that joining them will make me a better person (don't know if this was just a promotion tactics or something, but I fell for it).

My activities, I play video games at my free times (pretty boring, huh?) and I STUDIED (duh) in most of my days. My favourite game (currently) is Counter-Strike: Global Offensive (but no, I'm not good at it) and my "favourite" lesson is astronomy from physics. My other hobby, is (I'm not joking) actually rapping (the base word of "rap" instead of "rape" in case you got it all wrong). I like to look for more challenges in rapping because the best one I found is "Rap God" from Eminem and it was like... (tell no one, but I mastered it. I guess.)

Do I like watching TV? It's a weird question that probably no one ever asked me, but no, I don't. I like it more to watch YouTube, that's why I even created a channel for my gaming experience, which I think is great to have fun for yourself and you get to amuse someone else in the process.

Here's the link just in case you want to check it out:

But after 100 subs or more, I hope that I can get a custom URL:
www.youtube.com/Rizistance
which is easier to remember, and to share also :D

Right everyone, I have some fun making this and hopefully, you (readers) also. For me, if you're happy because of me, I'm happy. Not sure if I'll post more on this blog, but I'm more active on YouTube so be sure to check my channel out!

Hope you know me better with this and last but not least, thanks for reading!

P.S. Ini intro bukannya sok inggris, tapi karena tugas XD
